The Anticancer Fund is a Belgian non-profit organization dedicated to advancing cancer research and therapies. Our mission is to discover and promote better treatments for cancer while empowering patients with knowledge and support during their treatment journey. We focus on innovative research, support clinical studies, and collaborate globally to bring new treatments to patients. Additionally, we offer a crucial patient information service, My Cancer Navigator, to guide patients through treatment options and help them make informed decisions

Role Overview

As a Marketing specialist at the Anticancer Fund, you will enhance our visibility, strengthen our brand presence, and optimize the customer journey for a diverse and international audience. Combining creative insight with analytical rigor, you will elevate our campaigns and ensure impactful engagement across several platforms. Working closely with a passionate and collaborative team, you’ll have the freedom to explore and implement innovative ideas that make a difference.

Key responsibilities

▪    Social Media Management: Manage social media channels, create engaging content, and run targeted ad campaigns to reach diverse audiences.
▪    Email Marketing: Design and execute email campaigns to engage stakeholders, drive fundraising, and enhance brand loyalty.
▪    Community Engagement: Build relationships with key partners, influencers, and other relevant organizations to co-create impactful content, campaigns or events.
▪    Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and evaluate campaigns to increase awareness of our research, our information service, and fundraising efforts (digital and offline).
▪    Customer Journey Optimization: Work closely with the Communication Manager and Fundraiser to tailor marketing efforts to different audience segments.
▪    Brand & Messaging Consistency: Ensure clear and compelling messaging across all communication channels.
▪    Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation within the team and stay updated on marketing trends, legal regulations, and best practices to enhance the organization’s visibility and impact.
▪    Performance Analytics: Use relevant tools to track and report on marketing activity performance. Continuously test, analyse, and adjust strategies to optimize outcomes.

What we're looking for

▪    A degree in Marketing, or a related field with a preference for candidates who have a first relevant professional experience
▪    Expertise in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Business Manager, Mailchimp, Metricool, etc.) is a plus.
▪    Proficiency in design tools like Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and/or Illustrator.
▪    A person with a hands-on approach to translate customer needs into impactful campaigns.
▪    Strong written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is a plus.
▪    Driven to execute innovative ideas, combined with a data-driven approach to marketing.
▪    Ability to manage and complete multiple projects, working both independently and collaboratively.
▪    You enjoy trying new things and closely follow the latest marketing trends, tools, and legal requirements.
▪    Team-player with a warm, positive attitude always willing to go the extra mile. Passionate about making a difference in the life of cancer patients
