Our trials in non-conventional cancer care
We focused on non-conventional cancer therapy paths: alternative or complementary therapies that are less-known than conventional treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery.
Our non-conventional journey
Our researchers think outside the box of standard care. They carefully reviewed the stories of exceptional survivors, conducted field research in private clinics worldwide and reviewed large amounts of scientific literature covering complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) to identify new ways of enhancing cancer survival.
Examples are natural products such as Artemisia annua, Gloriosa superba, Chelidonium majus and Steganotaenia araliacea, diets, mind-body interventions, energy-based therapies and body-based or manipulative therapies.

Testing the potential of CAM in cancer care
We sought to investigate non-conventional treatments through proper clinical trials to scientifically assess their potential. However, this was very difficult, as most centres investigating CAM are reluctant to collaborate or share information. In spite of these challenges, we have successfully set up 5 trials of CAM treatments in cancer care:
-
Boost Your Mind: the impact of mindfulness after cancer treatment.
-
Vagus Nerve: anticancer effect of vagus nerve stimulation.
-
Curcumin: role of curcumin on tumour-induced inflammation.
-
Sodium Bicarbonate: oral bicarbonate for tumour-related pain.
-
Artesunate: anticancer effect of oral artesunate.
Onze visie op kankerbehandelingen
ONZE BELOFTE
-
-
Elke kanker verdient evenveel aandacht, ongeacht de prevalentie of de rendabiliteit.
